Emanuel's newest department, the Invasive/Interventional Cardiovascular Department, will bring an array of new heart health and cardiovascular treatments to Turlock when it opens this spring.

Incorporating a state-of-the-art digital cardiac and vascular imaging technology, the new department will allow cardiologists, radiologists and vascular surgeons to perform a number of procedures currently unavailable. Treatments and procedures will include:

• Diagnostic cardiac catheterization
• Permanent pacemaker and implantable defibrillator implantation
• Interventional radiology procedures
• Peripheral vascular angiography and interventions

The new imaging system in the cardiac catheterization lab and full department's capabilities will expand the diagnostic and treatment options available to cardiovascular and interventional radiology patients in the community.

The Invasive/Interventional Cardiovascular Department is located on the first floor of Emanuel Medical Center in renovated space that was previously the hospital's ICU and support spaces. The suite is designed around the state-of-the-art procedure room and incorporates a number of patient, physician and staff support areas.
